Appreciation of work matters the most for Siddharth Bhardwaj

Siddharth is a Video Jockey, model, actor and the winner of MTV Splitsvilla 2. QNA expert Tarun Jain in conversation with handsome hunk Siddharth Bhardwaj. During conversation Siddharth talked about his latest release ‘Aafat’. Read on.

From MTV Splitsvilla to Aafat, what things has your journey taught you?

Siddharth Bhardwaj: From MTV Splitsvilla to Aafat, throughout this journey of 10 years, the biggest thing I have learned is every work is different but their basic challenges are same. Uncertainty is usually there in whatever we do and as an actor as we often aren’t aware how this will work, but the enthusiasm is totally high. That counts!

Like Splitsvilla and Aafat has got so much love from the audience, that feels good; When people appreciate the work you do, that matters a lot to me.

Aafat and your previous show, Shaadi Jasoos, revolve around the same theme. Is there any specific reason behind you doing it, or just a mere coincidence?

Siddharth Bhardwaj: Both the shows had a marriage theme and I didn’t get married in either of them. I think it’s not a coincidence but a hint from universe that I am not going to get married anytime soon. HAHA!

If you were to ever get caught up in a situation like Aafat, then who would you marry?

Siddharth Bhardwaj: If I ever get caught up in the same situation to that of my character in Aafat, then I’d definitely get married to Faiza. Her character in a way or so ensures security as she’ll be able to protect me also. HAHA..So definitely Faiza!

Have you ever had any fun encounters with the team of Aafat?

Siddharth Bhardwaj: Working for Aafat has been quite an experience. My bond with the director is really good and of course the female actors I am working with in it. But yes, one of the events, I do recall when i met Titli (Nikita) on the first day on the sets of Aafat; We were rehearsing the script and I had chewing gum in my mouth. I kept it aside and forgot to dump it, and Nikita totally started staring at me with a little disgust – Even the character i was playing ‘Ricky’ was careless and the kind of guy who does anything he want. So, she said that I was perfect for this character and later I explained her that it was an honest mistake as I forgot to dump it. Later our director told us that there’s been a new addition in the scene where Titli will slap Ricky and Nikita instantly agreed and said that, “I’d love to do that”. This was quite a funny experience for me.

Being an actor, where do find yourself comfortable in? Web, TV or Movies?

Siddharth Bhardwaj: When it comes to being an artist, I’d prefer being comfortable in any role or screen. But for me, I am way too much comfortable in web because it has that freedom for the character types I love to play – Bold and Comic mainly that the audience is accepting.

What other projects are you working on, right now?

Siddharth Bhardwaj: Well, right now I am enjoying my vacation in America. I am really not aware of the status of the project but after Aafat’s huge success, I am coming back to India as there are people from industry who have approached me for a few projects. As soon as I get something, I will surely let you guys know.
